Dear Michel, Gabrielle, Julie and your families, Jacques and I wish to extend our sincere condolences to you. I would have known your father for 40 years, this October ,when he hired me to work for Minolta. Your dad was quite the character. He was a strict but a good, fair boss and he always took the time to talk to his employees about how they and their families were doing. In fact, he was the only one who has ever done that, something we need more of these days. I remember that your mom and he were the life of the Minolta parties and President Club trips. I am sad to see him go and I hope he didn't suffer. I will always remember him, he was like a father to me. When I left Toronto for Vancouver, he drove me to the airport, and played this Elvis Presley song- I did everything I could not to cry because I knew I was leaving a lot of friends behind. I will make sure all our old colleagues are notified about his passing. Again I am sad for you because I can just imagine how you are feeling. My dad is 83 years old and one day I will be faced with the same news. Jacques and I are sending all of you big hugs. Bisous!!

Mes plus sincères condoléances à la famille Saint-Yves, particulièrement à Michel et Suzie. Michel, ton père m'a inspiré beaucoup de confiance et il est responsable pour une bonne partie de ma carrière chez Minolta. Quels beaux souvenirs... les voyages Club du Président de Minolta, les parties de tennis et un bon p'tit Scotch. Je me souviens de lui comme un patron demandant et impatient mais juste, toujours optimiste et très loyal. "Qu'est-ce qui se passe"...il voulait toujours des nouvelles, business ou famille. Yvon a été un pionnier pour le succès de Minolta, mais je peux aussi dire la même chose pour ma carrière. Merci Yvon, paix avec toi.

Dear Michel and Julie and Gabrielle, I am so sorry for the loss of your father. I know what you must be going through these days. My dad passed away at 97 almost 10 years ago and I still think of him every day. Your dad was an amazing man. He never had an angry word to say to anyone and always had a smile on his face. His word was his bond. My years at Calcan were made better because of him. I will always remember him with respect and love.

So sorry to hear of the passing of your Dad I pray that God fills you with His peace and comfort during this time.

Condolences to Michel and family. Throughout my career and my life Yvon was without a doubt one of the greatest inspirations possible, he consistently instilled confidence and dedication, both in business and personally. He always gave me direction and advice but allowed me to make decisions. I considered Yvon to be my second father. During a health issue of my own Yvon and Jeannine came to visit me in the hospital, i still treasure that moment because of the confidence that he instilled in me that all was going to be fine, that was 15 years ago and i still have the card that they brought me because in the card he called me his son. Thank you Yvon for treasured memories....
