It is with heavy hearts that the family would like to announce that Monique Hould Monaghan, wife of the late Robert Monaghan, passed away in Quebec City on May 14, 2025, at the age of 89 years young. She was the daughter of the late Blandine Vandal and Ovila Hould.  She resided in Quebec City. The City which she had fallen in love with in her early years. Heaven has gained an angel.

A Catholic service will be held on Friday, May 30th, 2025, at 11:00 am at Saint-Patrick’s church, 1145 De Salaberry Avenue, Quebec City, QC.  The family will receive condolences at the church beginning at 10:00 am.  

She is survived by her children: Karen, the late Frank (2024), and Susan (Chris Smale); her granddaughters: Emilie and Alexandra Smale; her sister Rolando and sister-in-law Leona; as well as her nephews, nieces, and friends.

The family would like to thank the emergency room staff at the Saint-Sacrement Hospital and a special thank you to all the extraordinary staff and residents at The Saint-Patrick's Residence where she spent her last years.

 Le service Catholique sera célébré le vendredi 30 mai 2025 à 11 heures en l’église Saint-Patrick, 1145, avenue De Salaberry, Québec QC. La famille vous accueillera en l’église à compter de 10 heures pour recevoir vos condoléances.

Elle laisse dans le deuil, ses enfants: Karen, feu Frank (2024) et Susan (Chris Smale); ses petites-filles : Émilie et Alexandra Smale; sa sœur Rolande, sa belle-sœur Leona; ainsi que ses neveux, nièces et ami(e)s.

La famille tient à remercier le personnel de l'urgence de l'Hôpital du Saint Sacrement et tout le personnel de La Résidence Le Saint-Patrick pour les soins extraordinaires prodigués pendant les dernières années de sa vie.
