My most sincere condolences to the family and friends of Soheil. He was one on my oldest and dearest McGill graduate school mates. His friendship and and our periodic get togethers for "chat and chow" will be greatly missed.

My wife, Lynn, and I were very saddened to hear about the loss of Soheil. We have great memories of our times with Soheil and want to extend our deepest condolences to those closest to him. I spent years working with Soheil at McGill and while I lost touch after leaving Montreal, he was a very important figure in my life: first, as a teaching assistant in my undergraduate quantum chemistry courses, and later as a close colleague and friend in graduate school. I will always remember him as a person with quick wit, creativity, and intellectual depth. Despite his serious facade, he housed a heart of gold and a generous spirit that I so appreciated. I will always remember our fierce debates and discussion over a beer at the pub, and the Mediterranean roots that bonded us. May his memory be everlasting!

Condolences from another schoolmate of Soheil's. Like Alex and Roland, I enjoyed some great times with him in our grad school journey in the Whitehead lab.

So sorry to hear of Soheil’s passing. Like Alex, Michael and Roland, I knew him through grad school at McGill. I appreciated so much that he was very patient with my english and he acted as an interpreter sometimes when necessary in the conversation with Dr. Whitehead. I learned so many words from him. I always remember Soheil with a smile when those words pop up sometimes. Basically, I had a crush course in wits and jokes from him while sharing the same lab. Great personality!
