I miss you Jack. The best friend I have had. Ever. Met Jack in 96 in Taiwan and were immediately friends. Smart, intellectual, caring and compassionate. He saved my life.....saved my life. Jack had three shirts and two pair of pants when I met him and he gave me one of each because I had nothing. Taiwan, Thailand, Hong Kong, Cambodia and Canada... we would meet together. I am so sorry for not being able to pay back what Jack gave to me. I miss you so much my friend. My friend Jack. I miss your laugh, your insights, your stupid drunk dances where we made fools of ourselves and you. I just miss you. Every place I have gone I ask myself if Jack would like it here. I am building a home at the moment and I have done so with visions of Jack being there. I am at a loss. I know it has been years since his passing but I have never had the courage to write anything. My condolences to the family. I will never meet anyone like Jack again. Apologies for my personal ramblings. I just miss him. My name is Chhunhak, I live in Cambodia. I am very shock to see that my brother Jacques was passed away. I received his message on September 9, 2017 at 10.23AM. That was my last message that I got from him. I did tried many time reach him but I could not. Just today I search in the inter net and find out that he was passed way. I would like to share deepest condolence. May his soul rest in peace!

He told me that when he died, he want me to play a song called FREE BIRD for him. I used to promised to you Jack that when I have my own house I will invite you to live with me in Kratie, Cambodia. Now I have a house and I want you to come to live with me. Why are you death???

I was watching a documentary on Creedence Clearwater Revival tonight and thought of Jack. I Googled and found his photo with the information that he passed away. We were good friends in Taiwan and I visited him in Krati in Cambodia. Jack was a true blue person. We argued and laughed many an evening about everything in the universe. We taught English together at first. He mentored me in a special technique called Total Physical Response. The boss was a taskmaster and we drank and laughed about it in the jail pub located below an overpass in Tainan. We sang Beatles harmonies outside the 7/11's. Later, we dived together in Samui and Phuket. During training I had to "save" him, and haul his not insignificant body into the dive boat. He loved Creedence, and I loved listening to them with him. I have missed you all these years Jack. I regret our paths never crossed again. Maybe in the afterlife. Love you Jack.
