Shirley Craig (née Hicks) (version anglaise)

1931-2016

Informations

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Shirley, on August 21, 2016. She died peacefully, with her family by her side, in her eighty-fourth year.

Beloved wife of the late Alfred Craig. Loving mother of Jane (Elias), David (Sylvie), Sally, Diane and Gary (Andrea). Cherished Grandma of Phil, Elaine (Richard), Savannah and Ian. Dear sister of Willa, the late Norma, Joy (Keith), Lynn, the late Conrad (Diane), and Bruce (Gail), and sister-in-law of William (the late Peggy), Annie (the late Bob), Jean (Bruce), the late John (the late Shirley). Loved by many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by her parents Freeda and William.

Shirley was known for her love of playing cards and spending time with family. She was the queen of Skip-Bo, and a force to be reckoned with at Euchre. In her later years, she remained independent, living in her own home, watching her favourite shows, and receiving visits from family and friends. She will be remembered by many for her warm hospitality and generous spirit. Shirley’s family is very grateful to the staff at l’Hôpital Saint-François d’Assise for their professional services and friendly care.
