Constance (anglais) Thibault Dufour
Constance Thibault Dufour
1925-2007
At the end of the day on July 4th, after being lover, guide, and friend for more than 80 years, beloved Connie peacefully passed away to be reunited with her Marcel, the love of her life, and eldest daughter Diane. During her long and very full life, she remained a very kind woman, devoted mother and loyal friend. All who knew her will remember her exceptional generosity of spirit, as well as her discretion, integrity, and empathy. These qualities and others made her a valued member of the Commission scolaire des Découvreurs during many years.
Until they meet again, Connie is survived by her daughters and their spouses: Diane, predeceased (Sylvain Robertson), Susan (Robert Larivière), Grace (Jacques Fortin) Janet (Michel Nadeau) and by her sons Mark and Paul. She will now watch over grandchildren Charles-Étienne, Maude, Louis Félix, Florence, and Béatrice. She will also by sadly missed by her sisters Gabrielle Charland and Marion Torpy, sisters in-law Denise Thibault, Elvira Dufour, Jeannette Bianchi, brother in-law Armand Dufour and will be fondly remembered by many cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends including her long-time childhood girlfriend Colombe Pelletier.
Our deepest appreciation goes to the entire staff at Jeffery Hale Hospital for their extraordinary care, compassion, and generosity. Our thanks to you for being there, each and every day, as nurturing collaborators in this journey.
Dearest Connie, leave light-hearted. You taught us that life is precious and deserves to be celebrated. We will one day be reunited later for the celebration of all celebrations.
A memorial service will be held July 16th at 1:30 p.m. at St Geneviève's Church, 3180 d’Amours Street, Ste-Foy. The family will receive condolences at the church 30 minutes before the service. Internment will follow at the Complexe funéraire du Parc Commémoratif La Souvenance, 301, rang Ste-Anne, Québec.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate your donations to the Friends of the Jeffery Hale Foundation, 1250, chemin Sainte-Foy, Québec, QC, G1S 2M6.
